Like all non profit organizations, a Board of Directors governs Billy's Place. Board members commit to a one year term of duties with monthly meetings, leadership and representation of Billy's Place when needed.
A major portion of outreach is to provide awareness of Billy's Place in the community, recruit volunteers and increase connections made with potential supporters. Our outreach volunteers will visit and correspond with churches, hospice facilities, funeral homes, hospitals, doctors offices, schools, daycare centers and volunteer organizations. The position requires training on Billy's Place language and philosophy. The perfect person needs to be extremely comfortable with written and oral communication skills.
Billy's Place holds groups twice monthly on the second and forth Monday of each month. We ask for a commitment for one year. This position works directly with Billy's Place families and children on group nights. We strongly suggest you observe a support group night before deciding on attending the training to see if you feel Billy's Place will be a good match for you.
Fundraising volunteers provide a range of support activities for Billy's Place. The goal is to assist in grant writing, event planning and support for successful operations of Billy's Place in order to ensure we can walk with families on their grief journey. Billy's Place is a 501 (c) 3 non profit organization.
Volunteer training is held four times a year. Please email email@example.com regarding upcoming training dates.
All positions require a security check which is $25.00. Current fingerprint clearance cards will be accepted. Billy's Place meets at Sunrise Mountain High School on the second and forth Monday of each month. Sunrise Mountain High School is located at 83rd Avenue and Deer Valley in Peoria Az.
